Investor Anthony Galeotafiore, President of AJG
Capital of Bethpage, has been the focus of numerous investigations into his business
practices. As reported by Jesse Coburn of
Newsday (Bethpage
developer fined $166G over filings for condo projects) , Galeotafiore has recently admitted to the
state Office of the Attorney General findings that he omitted information
from state filings on condominium developments properties; Harbor View Estates
in Copiague, Parkview at Salisbury and Newton Gardens in Westbury and
Cypress Way in Islip Terrace. He has been fined $141,000 and order to pay
$25,000 in restitution. According to the website, http://ajgcapitalgrp.com/, the properties are listed
as part of the portfolio for AJG Capital Group.
Galeotafiore has also been accused of tricking a
third generation Harlem family out of their longtime home. The New York Post
reports that the home at 132 W. 130th St. has been in the
family since 1920’s and that Galeotafiore deceived the family into signing over
the title for the property. The family has stated “We are here to fight and
ensure our dream is not taken from us.”
A search of the court’s electronic filing system shows that Anthony Galeotafiore, also known as Anthony
Gallo, along with his associates Thomas
Gubitosi of Marie Holdings, Eric Friedlander of Long Island Capital Group,
Americo Magalhaes of Allied Concrete Industries and Concrete Structure have
been named as defendants in multiple lawsuits and are accused of corruption and
extorting properties from their clients. Galeotafiore has been associated with
a number of different businesses including but not limited to AJG Capital Group
Associates, AJG Capital Resources Inc., AJG Capital, AJG Capital Group, AJG
Parkview Corp, AJG Equities and Short Sale Resolutions.
Anyone that would buy a Harborview Estates condominium from this individual that has admitted to engaging in patterns of fraud with the N.Y.S. attorney general office should think twice.
ReplyDeletePlease read the attorney general's notice of discontinuance based on information and belief what he admitted to doing as President of Cypress Way condominiums in Islip was sell one unit to a woman and her husband then send two other contracts to the attorney general office to declare the condominium offering plan effective so he could close on the one actually legitimate purchaser's contract. Based on information and belief the attorney general found that the two other contracts were not real contracts.
The husband and wife the only real purchasers of a Cypress Way condominium unit closed moved in and wound up in the hospital with severe mold problems from there unit. They went to court with Cypress Way ( Anthony Galeotafiore AKA Anthony Gallo) for restitution for their problems. Meanwhile Galeotafiore and Cypress Way went to the Town of Islip and got the property re- zoned for rental units. based on information and belief this was the plan prior to offering any condominiums for sale by these individuals.
Please at the Margate condominium in Florida. Galeotafiore and his partners did the same thing. This time there were many families and their life savings involved. He sold them units held a majority stake ( more units than sold) and then converted the development to rentals.
Like I said this is all base on information and belief.
Did you know that Harborview is built on a FEMA Flood zone?
Did you know the neighbors have complained to the Town of Babylon about experiencing Flooding on their properties. Some have been their for over 30 years and never experienced this kind of Flooding on a normal rainfall.
Because of Harborview Estates raising the grade in a FEMA A & E flood zone is this development exposed for a class action suit by the surrounding properties?
Did you know that a worker fell down an open elevator shaft at the property and Harborview Estates has a pending lawsuit regarding his hospitalization, surgeries and injuries.
Did you know that Anthony Galetafiore is involved in many different lawsuits?
Please ask your attorney's a simple question - What happens if he does not sell all the units at Harborview estates after you close on your unit and has a majority of the units to convert them to rentals? What happens to your life savings?
There is also plenty of questionable information on the Newton Gardens development. If you want it join the blog.
This is a Buyer Beware for all hard working Tax paying N.Y.State residents. It is my opinion that this individual should not be offering securities( condominiums) for sale.
I recently purchased a condo from Anthony. He couldn't have been more helpful. I have yet to meet another builder who personally meets with buyers and helps them throughout the process. I read the court documents, and much of what is there are merely frivolous allegations, likely by people who he was once generous enough to help, but things didn't work out for hem, so why not point the finger to someone. The above comments could not be more false about the character of Anthony Galeotafiore
ReplyDeleteAnthony was a wonderful person to do business with. He was knowledgeable, and had many resources at his disposal to assist me with all aspects of our business relationship. He is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. I called him off a website to get information on one of his condo developments. Instead of passing me off to the sales team, he answered all my questions honestly, and even met me personally at the property to view it. While I did not wind up buying in his community as I was looking for something a little larger, he was happy to refer me to an agent who could help me find something elsewhere. What developer would be so accommodating if he was engaged in fraud and deceiving people for his own person gain as stated in a previous post. Seems to me like someone is mad at him and is trying to give him a bad name for personal reasons that have nothing to do with the type of person Anthony really is
